Milk Production

Project Objective
The main objective of this project is to increase milk production in livestock and enhance efficiency by providing various advantages to farmers.

Benefits
Before the milking system was established, farmers preferred male calves and tended to sell female calves. However, with the installation of the milking system and growing trust in it, the number of calves significantly increased. Farmers began keeping both male and female calves equally in their herds, allowing for more balanced planning of future livestock. This shift, combined with the benefits offered by the milking system, contributed to creating a more balanced and sustainable livestock structure.

Implemented Work

  • A Shared Smart Milking System was developed to increase milk yield in livestock.
  • After the system was put into operation, animal numbers initially remained stable for a few months, but later saw rapid increases due to advantages such as:
    • Access to grazing land
    • Higher milk income
    • Easier milking process
    • Timely payment of milk revenues

Results

  • Daily milk yield per animal increased by 32% to 84% depending on seasonal conditions.
  • Livestock ownership increased by 39%.
  • Milk price increased by 31%.
