TABIT Smart Village Co-Founder Coşkun Yıldırım shared the journey of the initiative with the delegation and presented the Smart Village project, offering advice based on the work carried out at the village.

Today, people are beginning to return to areas of Azerbaijan liberated from Armenian occupation. As part of a program described by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev as a “great return,” hundreds of thousands of people who had to leave their lands due to occupation years ago are now coming back. The first migration took place to the village of Ağalı in the Zengilan district, along the Zangezur corridor. The Azerbaijani government reported that 10 families, totaling 58 people, have already moved into their homes in Ağalı, which has been rebuilt according to the Smart Village concept.

Later this week, 31 more families are expected to move to Ağalı. In the first phase, 41 families will settle in the village, with employment provided to all adult members. Ağalı, a settlement reopened after the occupation, features 200 detached houses equipped with alternative energy sources, ecological heating systems, and smart lighting. The village also includes a school for 360 students, a kindergarten for 50 children, a health center, and local markets.
