From June 1–3, the 21st Forum Istanbul Conference took place under the main theme “Towards 2023, Horizon 2050.” On the second day, the 4th session titled “Agriculture 5.0: The Future of Agri-Food Technologies” was held.

- Transformations in the agricultural supply chain enabled by big data and blockchain technologies.
- Smart water management policies, considering that 70% of the world’s freshwater resources are used in agriculture.
- Providing farmers with technical infrastructure and education.
- Establishing standards and regulations for e-agriculture applications.
- Expanding infrastructure investments in cooperation with mobile operators.
- Implementing smart agriculture as a state policy and scaling its systems.
- Incentivizing the development of agricultural machinery, equipment, and domestic software compatible with 5G networks through public-private collaboration.
- Technical innovations for alternative protein sources.
The session offered a comprehensive roadmap for aligning technology, policy, and innovation to secure sustainable and productive agriculture for the future.
