The social entrepreneurship project conducted by the Aydın Young Business People Association (AYGİAD) under the Support for Civil Society Dialogue Between the EU and Turkey Grant Program-VI (CSD-VI) was deemed successful. The project, titled “Innovative Approach for Developing Social Entrepreneurship,” included a Study Visit in Amsterdam.
The study visit, held at Jungle Amsterdam, was attended by Efeler Mayor Mehmet Fatih Atay, AYGİAD Board Chairman Utku Uyanık and board members, project partners (AGİKAD) Aydın Entrepreneur Women Association Board Chairman Senem Bircan and member Efsun Alp, International Labour Association (ILA) from the Netherlands Mehmet Altunbaş, Integration for All (IFALL) from Sweden Necmettin Meletli and Sandra Lamptey, Emre Özceylan and Ekin Yılmaz from the Social Impact and Innovative Education Association (SOYED), TABIT R&D Director Orhan Kurt, and Reyhan Gülpınar from the Aydın Governorship.
Entrepreneurship Practices Shared
During the program, progress on the project, implemented over 15 months from April 1, 2021, to June 1, 2022, in Aydın, the Netherlands, and Sweden, was presented. Mehmet Altunbaş from the Netherlands’ International Labour Association (ILA) delivered a presentation on social entrepreneurship practices in Amsterdam to highlight the creation of a strong network.
As part of the study, two best-practice examples were visited: Impact Hub and Amsterdam Impact. The initiative aimed to create a vibrant and leading impact ecosystem by connecting NGOs, research centers, knowledge institutes, established companies, government institutions, and young creative entrepreneurs striving to make a difference.
The event concluded with participant evaluations, and certificates of participation were awarded at the end of the program.
