Mustafa Savaş, AK Party Member of Parliament for Aydın and Deputy Chair of Social Policies and Local Governments, was accompanied during his Technocity (Teknokent) visit by a delegation including protocol members, party officials, local tradespeople, and businesspeople.
Representing TABİT A.Ş., R&D Director Orhan Kurt attended MP Savaş’s visit program and presented the Vodafone Smart Village project and TABİT. Kurt noted that the Smart Village Project, a collaboration between Vodafone Turkey and TABİT Smart Agriculture Technologies A.Ş., is the first Smart Village in Turkey and the world equipped with digital technologies, aimed at supporting rural development. He stated:
“With the Smart Village project, we combine traditional agricultural methods with advanced technological capabilities to offer our farmers a next-generation rural lifestyle model. We work to increase product quality and productivity through applied technologies and qualified knowledge. Additionally, through our ‘Farmer Solution Partner’ initiative, we support farmers who face difficulties accessing digital technologies by meeting their end-to-end communication needs and providing access to agricultural technologies, thus enhancing productivity.”
Kurt also presented MP Savaş with a file containing documents about TABİT’s work and the Vodafone Smart Village project.
In his remarks, MP Savaş emphasized that they would support any initiative that promotes technology and innovation and stated that they would visit the Vodafone Smart Village as soon as possible. Later, he received further information about the projects from Technocity General Manager Prof. Dr. Cemal İyem.
