Tabit Smart Agriculture Technologies Inc. Vice Chairman of the Board, Coşkun YILDIRIM, participated in TV35’s program “Agriculture 4.0”. In the program, TV35 Host Prof. Dr. Meltem ONAY directed questions to Yıldırım in the fields of agriculture, animal husbandry, technology, and Agriculture 4.0.
According to the FAO Report, the End is Hunger and Chaos!
Yıldırım stated that farming is difficult everywhere in the world, but if the farmer gives up producing, we will be in a very difficult situation. According to FAO reports; if we cannot harvest what we produce, if we move towards consuming our resources, if we allocate our lands to housing and industry, it shows that hunger and chaos will begin. We can now start saying, “please produce” to the farmer.
For 15,000 years, people have lived without mobile phones and cars, but human nature can only stay hungry for 20 days and thirsty for 6 days, so the place of food is very important. When we decided to establish the Smart Village and implemented the project, we learned by living, in addition to knowing, that farming is a difficult profession.
What are Technology and Efficiency in Agriculture?
Farming is one of the most beautiful and profitable jobs in the world. We gain more seeds from one watermelon seed, but those who say we are not gaining need to calculate more and contribute to the integration that will be provided for living in the village. The use of technology in agriculture provides increased efficiency and time savings. On behalf of technology use in agriculture, we are carrying out technological studies with the sensors and R&D work we have developed in our Vodafone Smart Village Project, with which we can make the farmer’s life easier.
